🔥 In this Thought #1 we are talking about Documentation, which applies everywhere, not only in tech.

Communication is an art that most people tend to underestimate, it’s not only about speaking and listening but also writing ⭐

Having your processes documented somewhere is always a BIG plus, no matter if you are working alone or as part of a team ✅

Recently, as part of a migration, one of the providers that we are using made a mistake and it deleted the most important DNS Records for the entire Numerica Ideas ecosystem along with its integrations, meaning the website, the blog, the emails accounts, and other sub-domains were down ❌

Fortunately, I documented the whole architecture by going over details that help with the implementation, all of this is present in an article that is shared on the blog —> https://blog.numericaideas.com/fastest-blog-architecture

So I could be able to put everything back to normal in no time since the documentation got me refreshed on things that we put in place one year back when no activities were handed in the community 🚀

It was very alarming because compared to 4 months ago, the platform now has thousands of views and it keeps growing 🙂

Avoir vos processus documentés quelque part est toujours un GROS plus, que vous travailliez seul ou en équipe ✅

Récemment, dans le cadre d’une migration, l’un des fournisseurs que nous utilisons a fait une erreur et a supprimé d’importants enregistrements DNS pour l’ensemble de l’écosystème @numericaideas ainsi que ses intégrations, c’est-à-dire le site Web, le blog, les comptes emails et d’autres sous-domaines n’étaient pas fonctionnels ❌

J’ai donc pu tout remettre en place en un rien de temps puisque la documentation m’a rafraîchi sur les choses que nous avons mises en place il y a un an alors qu’aucune activité n’était faite dans la communauté 🚀
